HOSPITALIST - Medical Staff
EXPERIENCED, FULL TIME HOSPITALIST - REAT BENEFIT PACKAGE
SALARY BASED ON EXPERIENCE
● This position is full-time, authorized 182.5 days per year (2190 hours) 12 hours shifts as an employee.
● This position will provide the following benefits:
Health: Both the Hospital and the employee share the cost of health coverage. Vision and Dental are paid at 100% by the staff member. Health, dental and vision insurance coverage is available at the current employee cost sharing rate. See attached schedule for 2017-18. The employee rate is subject to change annually with renewals. All three rates are tax-deferred as an IRS Tax Code Section 125.
● Paid Time Off is accrued at a rate that provides 150 hours of Paid Time Off Bank at the end of the first year of employment.
● The hospital pays for Life and AD/D coverage for $125,000.00 for you, effective the first of the month following your 90th day. In addition, LTD Coverage is paid by the hospital and effective the first of the month following your first year. This plan also offers voluntary life & AD/D coverage at our rates if you are interested.
●The Hospital also covers you under our Malpractice/Liability Insurance as an employee.
●For you, the Hospital's Retirement becomes effective the first of month following your first day at 4% of base earnings. However, you are eligible to contribute through payroll to a Tax-Deferred 403b Plan Retirement plan on your first paycheck.
●This offer includes $1500 in annual continuing education reimbursement and a total of three days paid time off for CME's.

Hospitalist or Internal Medicine/Family Practice Physician with medical/surgical and ICU experience. Join a progressive medical staff that has expertise, respect and camaraderie. This 2-person hospitalist team covers inpatient care at this 25-bed hospital with an average census of 4-8 in the summer and 14-18 in the winter. Rotate days with the other hospitalist. Job Summary: Plans, organizes and directs patient care services and services of other healthcare professionals as they relate to patient care in hospital. Assures the adequacy and appropriateness of medical care provided to patients. Provides direct patient care in the hospital.
Directs and coordinates medical care of assigned patients in the hospital in the Medical, Surgical and ICU Units.
Currently licensed to practice medicine in the State of Arizona.
Current CPR and ACLS Certification.
Current Drug Enforcement Administration Registration.
Presentation of Certificate of Insurance, if applicable.
Administrative experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent writing and presentation skills.
Additional languages preferred.
At least 2-3 years experience.
Basic computer knowledge.
